Biography

J U L I A N O R E I S

 

One of the most active professional involved on Project Management Area in Brazil, Juliano acts as a teacher in several MBA courses around the country and also as a national and international speaker.

 

Nowadays, Juliano is IT Sr. Delivery Manager of an American multinational company in Brazil, being responsible for managing large projects on the Southern region of Brazil (Parana, Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul). Yet, he received an award for Crisis Management on his second work month.

 

He was the first professional in the world to be hired as a Brazilian Representative by Project Management Institute (PMI), the largest association for project management professionals in the world, wit 1.5+ million associates and certified professional, present in 100+ countries.

 

Juliano is graduated in Computer Science by PUC-RS (Pontifical Catholic University in Rio Grande do Sul) and hold the PMP, ITIL Foundation and Scrum Master certifications. Also, he has received the title of Master Business Administration by FGV (Fundacao Getulio Vargas).

 

He worked for 5 years at Dell Computers, where he was responsible for projects involving software development with teams from USA, EMEA, APJ, India and Brazil. Also, he has received 3 Gold Awards for his activities in the company. 

 

He was the founder and mentor of the GoPMP! Certification Program. This program helped educate more than 50 professional in project management. 

 

Juliano always kept himself active in the Projects Management community, both national and international, through acting as a volunteer at PMI Global (Maturity of Management Project Organizations – OPM3, Program Management, etc.) and writing articles for global and local congresses.

 

During his work at PMI Global as Brazilian Representative, Juliano was responsible for paradigm breaking and developing new products and services in Portuguese. Between those we can mention: PM Network Magazine, Customer Service, Webinars and the PMI website for Brazil.

 

Besides that, he worked very hard to help many Project Management communities throughout the country and promoted the importance and value of Project Management in companies and universities in Brazil. As a result of his work and PMI chapters in the country, the total number of members and certified professionals has grown, respectively, 80% and 85% in 5 years.
